Pain-free cycling guy

As a 49 year old man, my doctor sent me to see Laura after several bouts of what we’d thought to be prostatitis.  This had occurred multiple times, so we were calling it a chronic condition, but each time it seemed to respond quickly to antibiotics.  I was skeptical about pelvic floor therapy.  Boy, did I have a lot to learn!  At our very first session Laura asked if I’d had any sports injuries.  On reflection, I realized that I’d had a groin strain while running just before my round of symptoms.  Turns out that while this “groin strain” resolved fairly quickly it may have done so at the price to my pelvic floor.

There’s no denying that this is a delicate area.  Laura was thoughtful, sensitive and methodical in analyzing my condition and finding the imbalances in my pelvic floor – an area whose existence I’d largely been blind to – and gave me precise tips to keep this in check.  No more episodes! and no more need for antibiotics!  For that matter, I’ve learned new ways to breathe and check my posture which have helped me to let go of tension I’d been holding through the lower back, abs and pelvis.

Thank you, Laura!  I can’t recommend your care highly enough.
